Set up the Print Client on Windows
- In eShip, navigate to Settings > Printing.
- Click Download Starshipit Print Client (Windows).
- When you click install, you may be prompted to download additional required software, such as Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime. This is necessary for the Print Client to function.
- Once the app has been downloaded and installed, run it.
- Log in using your eShip login details (the same details you use for the web app).
Set up the Print Client
The app will automatically prompt you to select a printer when you first print a label through the Print Client. You can also configure your printer settings manually.
- Open the Print Client on your computer.
- Go to the Printers Tab.
- In the Label Type, select Packing Slip.
- Select the Printer Name to print the Packing Slip e.g. Brother MFC-9140CDN.
- Click Assign.
- Repeat steps 3-5 for each label type and printer you wish to set up.
3. Configure your print settings
You can also modify the label size or orientation for an entry.
- Click on an already assigned Label Type and Printer Name.
- Check the paper size and orientation.
- Click Save Settings.
You may also need to offset your label in the printer settings.
- On Windows, go to your Printers & scanners settings.
- Find your label printer and click Manage.
- Add spacing to the unprintable area – You may need to test print your label a couple of times to get the spacing right.
For macOS
1. Connect your printer
Wired printers
- Connect the USB cable to your Mac. If you are prompted to download new software, make sure to download and install it.
- Your computer will then download the right drivers and you can move on to step 2.
Wireless printers
- If you have a wireless printer, you might need to connect the printer to your Mac with a USB cable to set it up.
- After connecting your printer to your Mac, install the software that came with the printer and follow the set-up assistant to connect the printer to your network.
- After setting up, you can disconnect the cable from your printer and Mac and the printer should stay connected to your network.
Wireless printers: Add the printer to your list of available printers
- Choose Apple menu > System Settings.
- Click Printers & Scanners in the sidebar.
- If you don’t see your printer listed, click the Add Printer, Scanner or Fax button. A pop-up will appear listing the printers on your local network.
- When your printer appears in the list, select it, then click Add. You may then need to download additional software for the printer to work.
